Uncaptioned prints, possibly proofs, of California landscapes, mostly featuring towns and mining camps. 1: Pine Log Crossing mining camp -- 2: cave on river -- 3: "California" lithograph of mining scene at base of hill, trimmed from a pictorial lettersheet -- 4-7: proofs for Hutching's [sic, i.e. Hutchings'] panoramic scenes, Northern California (Including Shasta (formerly misidentified as Placerville); Jacksonville, O.T.; river mining scene at Scott's Bar; and Weaverville) -- 8: Gibsonville.

Each print (except one)--bears the name W.C. Butler within print, as artist or engraver. Two items also bear names of Kuchel & Dressel, del. Four are attributed to artist C.C. Nahl, in a later hand on back. One additional bears initials "C.N." within print.
Four prints (including Shasta and Jacksonville, O.T.)--are proofs of views issued on a Kuchel and Dressel pictorial lettersheet titled: Hutchings' panoramic scenes, Northern California.
